Steps:- We know the area is 100cm2.  

$\pi r2=100$

22/7xr2=100

100x7/22=r2

700/22=r2

31.81=r2

R~5.5

now, radius of circle = diagonal of square/2

Therefore diagonal is 11cm

Now, area of square with diagonal x = x^2/2

= 11^2/2

= 121/2

= 60.5cm2
