Given:

  • Area of parallelogram = 150 cm²
  • Height = 3 cm

To find:

  • Base of the parallelogram

Solution:

We know that,

\boxed {\sf {\red {Area\ of\ parallelogram = base \times height}}}

Let the base be 'b'.

Now, substitute the given values in the formula,

150 = 3b

\sf \dfrac {150}{3} = b

\dag {\boxed {\bf {\pink {50\ cm = b}}}}

Verification:

Substitute the value of b as 50 in the equation,

150 = 3b

150 = 3×50

150 = 150

LHS = RHS

Hence Verified!

Base of the parallelogram:

Base of the parallelogram is 50 cm.

Here, as per the provided question we are asked to find the base of the parallelogram ·—

GIVEN :

  • Area of the parallelogram = 150cm²
  • Height of the parallelogram = 3cm

TO FIND :

  • The base of the parallelogram = ?

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS :

Now, we'll have to find the base of the parallelogram = ?

Formula Used :

  • Area of the parallelogram = B × H

→ [ substituting the values as per the formula ]

→ Area = B × 5

→ 150 = B × 5

→ B = 150/5 = 50 [ When reduced ]

→ B = 50

Hence, base is 50 cm here when, the area of parallelogram is 150 cm square and height is given as 5 cm.
