Given :

Area of rectangle = 60cm²

Length of rectangle = 5cm

width of rectangle = (x+4)cm

To Find :

Value of x

Solution :

Area of rectangle = length×breadth

=> 60 = 5(x+4)

=> 60 = 5x + 20

Answer:

8 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

the area of a rectangle = 60 cm^2

Length = 5 cm

width = (x+4)

To find:

the value of X

Formula used :

The area of a rectangle = Length * width

Solution :

the area of a rectangle = Length * width

60 = 5*(x+4)

60/5 = (x+4)

12= x+4

8 = x

Therefore the value of X is 8
