if the area of a right isosceles triangle is 50sq.m. what is the length of the identical sides of a triangle

We have,

in an right isosceles triangle, equal sides act as base and height . third side(unequal side) can't be base and height as it can never be equal to rest one.

Now,

let equal sides be 'a'.

we know,

area of a right isosceles triangle =

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height \\   =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times a \times a = 50 \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2}  \times  {a}^{2}  = 50 \\  =  >  {a}^{2}  = 100 \\  =  > a =  \sqrt{100}  \\  =  > a = 10m

Heya Mate !!!

Your answer is 10m.

Step by Step Explanation :-

Let the equal sides be 'x'.

Now , Formula :-

Area of Right isosceles triangle = 1/2*base*height

So ,
 = > 1 \div 2 \times x \times x = 50

 = > 1 \div 2 \times x{2} = 50

 = > x {2} = 100

 = > x \sqrt{100} = 10

Hence , 10 m is the right answer.
