Answer :–

  • The length of the side of a square box = 8.6m.

Given :–

  • Area of a square box = 73.96m².

To Find :–

  • Length of the side of a square.

Solution :–

Given that,

Area of a square box = 73.56m².

 \rightarrow {a}^{2}  = 73.56 \:  {m}^{2}

  • Side = a

 \rightarrow a =  \sqrt{73.56 \:  {m}^{2} }

We know that,

  • Square root cuts the power.
  • √7356 = 86 so, √73.56 = 8.6

 \rightarrow a = 8.6 \: m

Hence,

The length of the side of a square box is 8.6m.

Additional Information :–

Some formulas of a square :-

1) Area of a square = Side² / a²

2) Perimeter of a square = 4 × side / 4a

3) Side of a square = √Area / √A

[ It is used when the area will be given ]

OR,

Side of a square =  \sf \dfrac{Perimeter}{4} /  \sf \dfrac{P}{4}

[ It is when the perimeter will be given ]

4) Diagonal of a square = √2 × Side (a)

  • Side is denoted by a.
  • Area is denoted by A.
  • Perimeter is denoted by P.
