Answer:

altitude = 14/17

Step-by-step explanation:

l = ?

a = 8 cm

b = 60 cm

area = 28cm^2

According To Question

area of trepazium = 1/2×l(a+b)

28=1/2×l(8+60)

28×2÷1=l×68

56÷68=l

14÷17=l

Given : area of a Trapezium is 28 cm², and two parallel sides are 8cm and 60dm respectively,

To find :  the altitude

Solution:

dm = decimeters

1 m = 10 dm

1 dm = 10 cm

=> 60dm = 60 * 10  = 600 cm

area of a Trapezium  = (1/2)( sum of parallel side) * altitude

=>  (1/2)(8 + 600)* h = 28

=> (1/2)( 608)* h = 28

=> 304h = 28

=> h = 28/304

=> h = 0.0921 cm

altitude = 0.0921 cm
