Answer:

Length of the triangle is 6.5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In the context to the question;

we have to find the length of the triangle;

given;

Area of the triangle =15 cm²

Height of the triangle = 6 cm

let the base be "b"

we know that:

Area of triangle = (base x height )/2

by putting the values;

we get;

15 = ( b x 6 ) / 2

by transposing method;

30 =6b

b = 30/6

b=5

base = 5 cm

For length

length ² =  (base/2)² + height ² [ base/2 is taken because while applying Pythagoras theorem we took only half of the base ]

By putting the values we get;

length ² = (5/2)²+6²

length ² = (2.5)²+36

length ² = 6.25 + 36

length ² = 42.5

length = √42.5

length  = 6.5 cm

∴Length of the triangle is 6.5cm
