If the area of a triangle is 150 sq m and base: height is 3:4 ,Find its height

Answer:

Base : Height = 3 : 4

So, let Base = 3A

 and Height = 4A

Area of triangle = 1/2  x Base  x Height

150 = (3A x 4A) / 2 = 12A² / 2 = 6A²

150 = 6A²

A²=150/6 = 25

A = √25 = ±5

A≠ -5(because length cannot be negative)

So,

A = 5

Height = 4 x 5 = 20 m
