  • area of a triangle is 1/2*base*height (1/2*b*h)
  • given: area of the triangle = 48 cm^2 , base = 12 cm , height = ?
  • let height be x ,
  • as , 1/2*base*x = 48 cm^2
  • 1/2*12*x = 48
  • 6x = 48
  • x =48/6
  • x = 8

∴height of the triangle is 8 cm
