It is given that
base of triangle = x
and side of square = x
now area of triangle = 1/2 * b * h
and area of square = side * side
now according to statement
1/2 * b* h = side * side
1/2 * x * h = x *x
h = 2 *x*x/x
h = 2x
So altitude = 2x
base of triangle = x
and side of square = x
now area of triangle = 1/2 * b * h
and area of square = side * side
now according to statement
1/2 * b* h = side * side
1/2 * x * h = x *x
h = 2 *x*x/x
h = 2x
So altitude = 2x
