The Perimeter of an Equilateral Triangle is 24 cm. Then the side of the triangle is 24/3= 8 cm. The Area is...

1/2.base x height = Area.

Here if we draw a perpendicular to the Center of the base we get we two Congruent right angled Triangle whose sides are base, 1/2 of 8 i.e 4 cm, slant side is 8 cms and the common perpendicular to both the triangle. Theefore height of the triangle is equal to the length of the perpendicular... or

Height = √(8² - 4²)= √(64 - 16) or √48is equal to..

4√3 cms.

Therefore the Area is..

1/2.8.4√3 = 4x 4 x1.732. = 16 x 1.7320 = 27.7128 cm²

27.7128 cm² answer.

I hope I am correct. Thanks and Good Morning
