Lateral surface area of a cube is the area of its four sides except top and bottom

So area of four walls = lateral surface area of cube

256m^2 = 4a^2

a^2 = 256/4

a^2 = 64

a = √64 = 8m

Therefore the side of the room is 8m.

I hope you understand.

Thanks for asking.
