Given:-

  • Area of the four walls = 450 m²

[Tip: Many students won't keep it in mind that it the total area of the four walls.]

  • Perimeter of it's base (breadth) = 90 m

To Find: Height (Length) of the room.

We know,

Area of Rectangle = (Length)(Breadth)

Let the length (height) be = x

☞ Area of 1 wall = (90 m)(x)

Here, area of 4 walls are given:-

∴ 4(90)(x) = 450

→ 360x = 450

→ x = 450/360

x = 1.25 metres

The height of the walls were of 1.25 metres.
