Area of parallelogram = 36cm²

→ Base × Height = 36cm²

9 \times height = 36 \\  \\ height =  \frac{36}{9}

Given :

  • Area of parallelogram is 36 cm².
  • Base of parallelogram is 9cm.

To Find :

  • Height of parallelogram ?

Formula used :

  • Area of parallelogram = B × H

Here,

  • B = Base of a parallelogram
  • H = Height of a parallelogram

Finding the Height of a parallelogram :

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ→ 36 cm² = 9 × H

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ→ 36/9 = H

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ→ 4 cm = Height

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

∴ Height of a parallelogram is 4 cm.

Some formulas to be remembered :-

  • Area of rectangle is L × B

  • Area of Square is (Side)²

  • Area of triangle is 1/2 × b × h or √s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

  • Area of Circle is πr²

  • Area of Trapezium is 1/2 × h (a+b)

  • Area of Rhombus is 1/2 × d₁ × d²
