Before, finding the answer. Lets find out on how we can find the answer.

  • To find the Length, we must use the formula of :

 \sf Length =  \dfrac{Area}{Breadth }

Given :

  • Area of Rectangle = 124 cm²
  • Breadth = 4 cm

To find :

Length of Rectangle

Solution :

We know that,

 \sf Length =  \dfrac{Area}{Breadth }

So,

 \sf Length =  \dfrac{124}{4 }

 \sf = 31 \:

Hence, the Length of Rectangle is 31 cm.

Verification :

Area of Rectangle = l × b

124 cm² = 31 × 4 cm²

124 cm = 124 cm²

.°. L.H.S = R.H.S

Know more :

  • Area of Rectangle = l × b
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = (2 × l) + (2 × b)

  • ★ If the Area of a rectangle is 124 sq. cm and its Breadth is 4 cm, then the Length of the rectangle = 31 cm.

SOLUTION :

 \\  \\

Given :-

  • Area of the rectangle = 124 sq. cm

  • Breadth of the rectangle = 4 cm

 \\

To Find :-

  • Length of the rectangle = ?

 \\

Required Formula :-

\bigstar \: \boxed{ \bold{Area \: \: of \: \: a \: \: rectangle = Length \times Width}}

 \\

Calculation :-

 \\

\bigstar \: \: \sf{Area \: \: of \: \: the \: \: rectangle = Length \times Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{ \large{ \implies \: 124 = Length \times 4}} \\ \\ \sf{ \large{ \implies \: Length = \dfrac{124}{4}}} \: \: \: \: \\ \\ \sf{ \large{ \therefore \: \: \underline{ \: Length = 31 \: }}}

 \\

  • Hence, Length of the rectangle = 31 cm.

\underline{ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: }

VERIFICATION :

 \\  \\

We have :-

  • Area = 124 sq. cm

  • Length = 31 cm

  • Breadth = 4 cm

 \\

To Verify :-

  • Length × Breadth = Area

 \\

Now,

  • Length × Breadth = 31 cm × 4 cm = 124 sq. cm

Again,

  • Area = 124 sq. cm

 \\

\: \: \: \: \: \bigstar \: \: \: \: \boxed{ \sf{ \large{ \therefore \: \: Length \times Breadth = Area}}}

  • Hence Verified.

Rectangle :-

  • A rectangle is a plane figure which has four sides and four angles. Each of the four angles are right angles, i.e, 90°. Again, the opposite sides of a rectangle are of equal length and parallel.

  • A rectangle is or a quadrilateral which opposite sides are equal and parallel to each other and each of the four angles is a right angle.
