We know,

Area of trapezium = ½ × (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between parallel sides)

Then,

 \tt32 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (6 + 10)(distance \:  \: between \:  \: parallel \:  \: sides) \\  \\ \rm distance \:  \: between \:  \: parallel \:  \: sides =  \frac{32}{ \frac{1}{2} }  \times  \frac{1}{6  +  10}  \\   \\  \mapsto \frac{32 \times 2}{16}   \:  \:  \:  \: =   \sf\red4 \:\: cm
