If the Area of triangle formed by the lines x=0 , y=0 and 4x+3y=a is 5 square units , then a^2 = ?

Again intersection point of line y=0 and 4x+5y=20 is point B (5,0) .

By putting x=0 we find Intersection point of line 4x+5y=20 and x=0

So intersection point is C (0,4) .

It is clear that ∆ABC is a right angled∆

We know area of a right angle∆ is

1/2 Base*height

So in this problem we get base AB =5 units

& Height AC =4units

So area of ∆ is 1/2*5*4=10sq.units.
