In two similar triangles,let it be ∆ABC&∆PQR , and the corresponding sides be AB and PQ,
now let's take PQ as x , therefore by theorum of similar triangles and sides relation
ar(abc) \div ar(pqr) =   {( ab)}^{2} \div (pq )^{2}
hence largest side of larger ∆ is 36cm

Let the largest side of larger triangle be x.

ACQ....

(9/12)^2 =( 27/x)^2

{cutting sq.}

9/12 = 27/x

9x = 324

x = 324/9

x = 36
