(x +x+2 + x+4 + x +6)/4 = 25

(4x + 12)/4 = 25

4x + 12 = 25*4

4x + 12 = 100

4x = 100-12

4x = 88

x = 88/4

x = 22

hence the consecutive numbers are

22, 22+2, 22+4, 22+6

22, 24, 26, 28

hence the difference between largest and smallest number is 28 - 22 = 6
