<b>Heya mate. (^_-). Solution below.
====================================

• What are consecutive numbers?

==> Consecutive numbers are numbers which come just after a number. For example : (1-2-3); (95-96-97-98) etc.

Coming back to the question -

• Let the numbers be x; x + 1; x + 2; x + 3; and x + 4

• Then, their average -

= sum/number of observations

= [ (x) + (x + 1) + (x + 2) + (x + 3) + (x + 4) ]/5

= [x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4]/5

= (5x + 10)/5

= 5{x + 2}/5..... [taking 5 common in numerator]

= x + 2 .....[canceling 5]

• But, their average = 27....[given in question]

=> x + 2 = 27

=> x = 27 - 2

=> x = 25

• Hence, the numbers are -

x = 25
x + 1 = 25 + 1 = 26
x + 2 = 25 + 2 = 27
x + 3 = 25 + 3 = 28
x + 4 = 25 + 4 = 29.

• Among them, 25 is the smallest.

<marquee>Hence, your answer is 25.</marquee>
