answer: D.36

Let the consecutive no. are 2x, 2x+2 & 2x+4

They are consecutive even no. because any no. Multiple of 2 is even and to find next one we have to add 2 in previous one .

Average = sum of given no. / Total no.

So, (2x+2x+2+2x+4)/3= (6x+6)/3 = 2x+2

2x+2=34

2x=32

X = 16

Then largest no. = 16*2+4 =36

The average of three consecutive even numbers is 34,

Therefore sum of three consecutive numbers = 34 × 3 = 102

Let the smallest of three consecutive numbers be x, thus other two consecutive numbers are x + 1 and x + 2

Their sum

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 102

3x + 3 = 102

3x = 102 - 3

3x = 99

x = 99 / 3

x = 33

The smallest of three consecutive number is 33, thus other two consecutive numbers are x + 1 = 33 + 1 = 34; and x + 2 = 33 + 2 = 35

The three consecutive numbers are 33, 34 and 35

Answer the largest of three consecutive numbers is 35
