Here's the answer...

As we know,
Area of parallelogram =base×altitude

So let the base =b cm;
and altitude = a cm

Area of parallelogram =ab {cm}^{2}

But,
If the base =2b cm;
and altitude =2a cm,

Area of parallelogram
=2a× 2b  {cm}^{2}
= 4ab  {cm}^{2}

Therefore, the area of the parallelogram because 4 times of itself if the base and altitude are doubled.
