Height =2h
Then A = 1/2 × ( 2b ×2h )
= 1/2 × 4bh
= 4 × (1/2 b × h)
And this 1/2 b × h is the formula for the area of the triangle so that means we can say that it is 4 × Area of a triangle... that means area of the triangle has increased 4 times.
so therefore If the sides of a triangle are doubled, then area is is 4 times
