Given

  • Ratio of base and height is 7:3
  • Height = 45cm

To Calculate

  • Area of parallelogram

Solution

Let the Base of parallelogram be 7x

Then, Height of parallelogram will be 3x

Height of parallelogram = 45cm

 \bf \implies 3x = 45

 \bf \implies x = 45 \div 3

 \bf \implies x = 15cm

 \bf Base \:  of  \: parallelogram  = 7x

 \bf \implies Base  = 7 \times 15

 \bf \implies  = 105cm

 \bf Area  \: of \:  parallelogram

 \bf = Base × Height

 \bf = 105cm \times 45cm

 \bf= 4725 {cm}^{2}

Therefore, Area of parallelogram is 4725cm².

Answer :

›»› The area of the parallelogram is 4725 cm².

Given :

  • The base and height of the parallelogram are in the ratio 7:3 and the height is 45cm.

To find :

  • The area of the parallelogram?

Solution :

Let us assume that, the base of the parallelogram is x cm.

→ x : 45 = 7 : 3

→ x : 15 = 7 : 1

→ x = 15 * 7 * 1

→ x = 105 * 1

x = 105

Now,

As we know that

→ Area of parallelogram = base * height

→ Area of parallelogram = 105 * 45

→ Area of parallelogram = 4725

Hence, the area of the parallelogram is 4725 cm².

Verification :

→ Area of parallelogram = base * height

→ 4725 = 105 * 45

4725 = 4725

Here, LHS = RHS

Hence Verified !
