If the base of a parallelogram is twice its height and area is 128m2, find the base and height?

Given,

Base = 2 Height

Let Base be a

So, Base = a

Height = 2a

Formula for area of parallelogram = base x height

128 =a x 2a

128 = 2a^2

128/2 = a^2

64 = a^2

√64 = a

a = 8

Since, Base = a = 8 m

Length = 2a = 2x8 = 16 cm
