Question:-

If the base of a right angled triangle is 15 cm and its hypotenuse is 25 cm then find its area.

Answer:-

150.

Solution:-

base \: of \: a \: triangle \: (b) = 15

hypotenuse \: of \: a \: traiangle = 25

let \: h \: be \: an \:height \: of \: an \: traingle

by \: pythogoras \: theorem

we \: get

 =>  {b}^{2}  +  {h}^{2}  => (hypotenuse) ^{2}

 =>  {15}^{2}  +  {h}^{2}  =>  {25}^{2}

 => 225 \:  + \:  {h}^{2}  =  > 625

 {h}^{2}  =  > 625 - 225

 {h}^{2}  =  > 400

h = 20cm

area \: of \: a \: triangle \: >  \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h

area \: of \: a \: traing \:>  \frac{1}{2} \times 15\times 20

area \: of \: an \: traingle \: = 15 \times 10

area \: of \: an \: traingle \: is \: 150
