If the area of a triangle with base(b) and height(h) is A = (1/2)*b*h

If the base is halfed it becomes b'= b/2

If the height is doubled it becomes h' =2h

then

A'=(1/2)*b' *h'

A'=(1/2)*(b/2)*(2h)

A'=(1/2)*b*h

A'= A

This means it will remain constant
