SP of 4 articles = 4a

CP of 1 article = 4a/6

CP of 1 article = 2a /3 ------(2)



Gain = SP - CP

= a - 2a/3

= a/3


Gain % = Gain * 100 / CP

$= \frac{ \frac{a}{3} }{ \frac{2a }{3} } \times 100 \\ = \frac{a}{3} \times \frac{3}{2a} \times 100 \\ = \frac{100}{2 } \\ = 50$
Gain % = 50%
