The calorific value of compressed natural gas is higher than petrol. So, CNG will be a good preference. It also produces more heat energy than petrol. It has less environmental pollutants and also less costly than petrol.

So we have to be cautious before using any kind of fossil fuel.

I think it is better to use CNG as it is much more eco friendly then petrol.
