Given info : if the car is moving on a banked road of radius 10 m with angle of banking 15°.

To find : the most safe speed of a car is...

solution : see free body diagram of car and banking of road,

at equilibrium,

Ncosθ = mg ...(1)

Nsinθ = mv²/r ...(2)

dividing eq (2) by eq (1) we get,

tanθ = v²/rg

⇒v² = rgtanθ

⇒v = √(rgtanθ), this is the most safe speed of the car.

here r = 10m, θ = 15° and g = 10 m/s²

so, v = √{10 × 10 × tan15°}

= 5.167 ≈ 5.2 m/s

Therefore the most safe speed of the car is 5.2 m/s
