If the cell membrane is NOT semi-permeable membrane how would it affect the whole cell?

Because of this foreign or toxin substances will enter the cell easily and it will damage the cell organelles. This leads to destruction of the cell.

cell membrane is semipermeable that means it allows only selected substances to enter the cell.

If the cell membrane will not be semi permeable then there will be no check on the substances that are entering and exiting the cell.

Foreign substances which could be harmful can also enter the cell and can destroy it.
