If the cells are submerged in a 1.2 M NaCl solution, what will happen to the cells

hey!!

β–ͺIn this case, this salt solution would act as hypo tonic solution (where relative salt concentration is less).

So water molecules from the solution will be passing into the cell (0.9%(m/v)). THis will make the cells flaccid and it may event burst.
