If the centroid of a triangle formed by (3, x), (–1, 5) and

(y, –6) is (0, 1) then find (x, y) ?​

Let the given vertices of a triangle be A(−7,6) and B (8,5)

let the third vertex be C (x,y) given the centroid of the triangle G (1,3)

centroid = (x1 +x2 + x3/3 ;; y1 + y2 + y3/3)

(1/3) = ( -7 +8+x/3 ;; 6 + 5 + y/3)

1=( -7 +8 +x/3) ;; 3= ( 6+5+y/3)

3=1+x ;; y= 9-11

this is done by equating the x and y co-ordinates ) x=2,y=−2

therefore the (x;y) is (2;-2)
