Given - Original circumference - 2π

Increased circumference - 6π

Find - Increased area

Solution - Circumference of circle is represented by the formula - 2πr. Now keeping the values of circumference to calculate r.

2πr = 2π

r = 1

Original radius = 1.

2πr = 6π

r = 3

Increased radius = 3

Area of a circle is calculated by the formula = πr²

Original area will be - π(1)²

Original area will be - π

Increased area will be - π(3)²

Increased area will be - 9π

Therefore new area will be 9π.

Given :   circumference of a circle increases from 2π to 6π

To find :  area

Solution:

circumference of a circle   = 2πr

r = radius of Circle

2πr =  2π

=> r = 1

Area of  circle   = πr²  =  π(1)²  =  π sq unit

circumference of a circle   = 6πr

r = radius of Circle

2πr =  6π

=> r = 3

Area of  circle   = πr²  =  π(3)²  =  9π sq unit

Area increased by 9 times
