Step-by-step explanation:

2pi r = 176mm

r=176mm/2pi

= 28×10^-3

area of circle is = pi r^2

= 2.5( approximately)

Given -

Circumference of circle is 176 mm

To find -

The area of circle

Solution -

As we know that,

Circumference of circle = 2 \times pi \times r

Put the given values in these formula we get

176 = 2\pi \times r

 \frac{176}{2\pi}  = r

 \frac{88}{\pi}  = r

The value of π is 3.14 .

 \frac{88}{3.14}  = r

r = 28.02

So,

Radius (r) is 28.02 mm.

Area of circle = \pi {r}^{2}

Put the value of r we get

Area of circle = \pi \times  {28.02}^{2}

Square means multiply the given values with itself twice.

Square of 28.02 is 785.12

Area of circle = \pi \times 785.12

The value of π is 3.14.

Area of circle = 3.14 \times 785.12

Area of circle = 2465.27

Hence,

Area of circle is 2465.27  {mm}^{2}
