\mathfrak{The\:Answer\:is}

Given, circumference = 28cm

Radius = 28/2 = 14cm

Therefore, Area of circle

 = \pi \times r {}^{2}

= 22/7 * 14 * 14

 = 616 \: cm {}^{2}

\boxed{Hope\:This\:Helps}

Given -

Circumference of circle is 28 cm

To find -

The area of circle

Solution -

As we know that,

Circumference of circle = 2 \times \pi \times r

Put the given values in these formula we get

28 = 2\pi \times r

 \frac{28}{2\pi}  = r

 \frac{14}{\pi}  = r

The value of π is 3.14 .

 \frac{14}{3.14}  = r

r = 4.45

So,

Radius (r) is 4.45 cm.

Area of circle = \pi {r}^{2}

Put the value of r we get

Area of circle = \pi \times  {4.45}^{2}

Square means multiply the given values with itself twice.

Square of 4.45 is 19.8

Area of circle = \pi \times 19.8

The value of π is 3.14.

Area of circle = 3.14 \times 19.8

Area of circle = 62.17

Hence,

Area of circle is 62.17 {cm}^{2}
