if the circumference of a circle is twice the circumference of another how many times does the area of the larger contain the area of the smaller​

Answer:

let radius of small circle be r

and radius of big circle be R

now , circumference of large circle = circumference of small circle

i.e , 2πR= 2×2πr

2πR= 4πr

R=2r

now area of large circle = πR^2

but R=2r

so, area of large circle = π4r^2=4πr^2

while area of small circle = πr^2

hence area of large circle contain 4 times of smaller
