Circumference of the circular garden = 308m

Therefore 2πr = 308m
=> 2 × 22/7 × r = 308m
=> 44/7 × r = 308m
=> r = 308/1 × 7/44
=> r = 7 × 7
=> r = 49m

Verification :-

Circumference of the circular garden = 2πr
= 2 × 22/7 × 49
= 44 × 7
= 308m

Hence the radius of the circular garden is 49m.

Now,

Area of the circular garden = πr²
= 22/7 × 49 × 49
= 22 × 7 × 49
= 7546m²

Total cost of grassing the land at the rate of ₹4.85 per m² = 7546 × 4.85
= ₹36598.1
