Answer:

radius = 7m

\pi \: r {}^{2}

\pi =  \frac{22}{7}

154m= 22/7 × r ×r

 \frac{154 \times 7}{22}  =  \: r {}^{2}

49m {}^{2}  = r {}^{2}

therefore r (radius) = 7m

 \huge  \tt \red{QUESTION}

If the circumference of a circular sheet is 154 m, find its radius. Also find the area.

 \huge \tt \red{ANSWER}

(i) Circumference of circular sheet

  \sf= 154m

 \sf2\pi  r = 154

 \sf \: r = 154

  \sf2 \times \frac{22}{7}

 \sf =  \frac{154 \times 7}{2 \times 22}  = 24.5

Hence, radius (r) = 24.5m.

(ii) Area of circle  \huge= \pi r ^{2}

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times (24.5) ^{2}

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 24.5 \times 24.5 = 1886.5m ^{2}

Hence, area of sheet = 1886.5m²
