If the circumference of circle is 88cm find the area of circle?

C = 2πr
so,
2πr = 88
2 × 22/7 × r = 88
r = 88 × 7/44
r = 14 cm

Area of circle = πr2
= 22/7 × 14 × 14
= 616 cm square .

Circumference of a circle =88cm
$2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r = 88$
$r = 88 \times \frac{7}{22} \times \frac{1}{2}$
r=14 cm
Area is :
$\pi {r}^{2} = \frac{22}{7} \times 14 \times 14 = 44 \times 14$
Therefore area = 616 sq units.
