Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

circumference = 110cm

cicumfernce = 2pier

2pier=110

r = 110×7/22×2

r =35/2cm

curved surface area =2pierh

=2×22×35×5/7×2

=22×25

= 550cm²

Given :

  • Circumference of base of Cylinder is 110 cm.
  • Height of Cylinder is 5 cm.

To Find :

  • Curved Surface Area of Cylinder.

Solution :

Firstly we will find the Radius :

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Circumference\:of\:Cylinder=2\pi{r}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{110=2\times{22}{7}\times{r}}

\longmapsto\tt{110\times{7}=44\times{r}}

\longmapsto\tt{770=44r}

\longmapsto\tt{r=\cancel\dfrac{770}{44}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{r=17.5\:cm}

So , The Radius of the Circular Cylinder is 17.5 cm..

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=17.5}

\longmapsto\tt{Height=5\:cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{C.S.A\:of\:Cylimder=2\pi{rh}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{{\cancel{2}}\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times\dfrac{175}{{\cancel{10}}}\times{{\cancel{5}}}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{22\times{175}}{7}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{3850}{7}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{550\:{cm}^{2}}

So , The Curved Surface Area of Cylinder is 550 cm²..
