If the circumference of the base of a solid right circular cone is 236 cm and its slant height is 12 cm. Find its curved surface area.

Hi,

According to the problem given,

the dimensions of the Solid right

circular cone are,

Slant height ( l ) = 12 cm

Circumference of

the base( C ) = 236cm

C = 2πr = 236 cm

πr = 236 / 2 = 118 cm ----( 1 )

Therefore ,

Curved surface area of

the cone ( A ) = πrl

= 118 × 12

= 1416 cm

Required curved surface area

of the cone =A = 1416 cm
