★ Given :-

  • Circumference of circle = 220 m

★ Have to Find :-

  • What's the area of circle.

★ Solution :-

As we know that the circumference of circle is already given.

So,

Let's find out radius first.

Circumference of circle → 2πr

Substituting the given values.

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r → 220

⇒ 44 × r → 220 × 7

⇒ r = 220 × 7/44

⇒ r = 1540/44

r = 35 m.

Hence, The radius of circle is 35 m

Now, simply applying the formula of area of circle.

Area of circle → πr²

Substituting the values in the above formula.

→ 22/7 × 35 × 35

→ 22 × 5 × 35

3850 m²

Thus, Area of the circle is 3850 m²
