Circumference of the circle is 50cm

How to do

❍As given in the question circumference of the circle is given 50cm and we are said to find area of the circle so firstly we have to find radius after getting the value of radius then we will find area of circle and as we know that π is multiple of radius square. So let's find!

As we know that,

 \:  \:  \sf \: circumference \: of \: circle = 2 \pi \: r

Substitute the value

 \ \:  \:  \:  \:  \: :  \sf \:  \implies 50 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \\  \\   \:  \:  \:  \sf \:  :  \implies 50 \times 7 = 44r \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \sf \:  :  \implies \: 350 = 44r \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \sf \:  :  \implies  r = \frac{350}{44}  \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \sf \:  :  \implies \: r = 7.9cm

Hence, Radius of the circle is 7.9cm.

According to the question,

  • Radius of the circle is 7.9cm and we have to find area of circle

As we know that

 \:  \:  \sf \: area \: of \: circle =  \pi  {r}^{2}

Now substitute the value

 \:  \:  \:  \sf \: area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {7.9}^{2}  \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \: area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 62.41 \\  \\   \:  \:  \sf \: area =  \frac{1373.02}{7}  \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \: area = 196.14 {cm}^{2}

Hence, Area of circle is 196.14cm^2.
