If the circumferences of teo concentric circles farming as a ring are 88 cm and 86 cm respectively. find the width of the ring

Hi ,

Let R , r are radii of two concentric

circles

1)circumference of outer circle =88cm

2πR = 88

2 × ( 22/7 ) × R = 88

R = ( 88 × 7 ) / ( 2 × 22 )

R = 14 cm

2)circumference of inner circle =84cm

2πr = 86 cm

2 × 22/7 × r = 86

r = ( 86 × 7 ) / ( 2 × 22 )

r ≈ 13.68 cm

Therefore ,

Width of the ring = R - r

= 14 - 13.68

= 0.32 cm
