circumference of circle = 16.8 + diameter
2*22/7*r = 16.8 + 2r
44r = 7(16.8+2r)
44 r = 117.6 + 14r
30 r = 117.6
hence r = 3.92 or 4 approx
therefore diameter =2r = 8 cm... mark it brainliest.. if it helped u

Given that the circumference of a circle exceeds its diameter by 16.8cm.

Circumference = Diameter + 16.8

2 \pi r = 2r + 16.8

2* \frac{22}{7} * r = 2r + 16.8

44r = 7(2r + 16.8)

44r = 14r + 117.6

30r = 117.6

r =  \frac{117.6}{30}

r = 3.92

Therefore the diameter of the circle = 2 * r

                                                             = 2 * 3.92

                                                             = 7.84cm.

Hope this helps!
