• 15 - 300
• 12 - x       (direct variation)
• 15 × x = 300 × 12   (more books, more cost)
• 15x = 3600    (less books, less cost)
• x = 3600/15
• x = 240

∴ Cost of 12 such books is Rs 240 /-
