Answer:

 ☣ \: \large\mathrm{Given}

  • 15 quintals of grain cost ₹45,000

☣ \large\mathrm{To \:  Find}

  • Cost of 35 quintals

 ☣ \: \large\mathrm{Explanation}

There are two methods

  • Unitary Method
  • Method of proportion or direct proportion

Unitary Method:

Cost of 15 quintals = ₹ 45,000

Cost of 1 quintal = ₹ \frac{45000}{15}

Cost of 35 quintals

 \small\rm {= \frac{45000 \times 35}{15} }

 \small\rm{ = ₹105000}

Method of proportion:

Let the cost of 35 quintals be ₹ x(more quintals, more cost)

15 quintals = 45000

35 quintals = x

Ratio of quintals = Ratio of their costs

→ 15 : 35 :: 45000 : x

Product of extreme = Product of mean

→ 15 × x = 45000 × 35

 \small\rm {x = \frac{45000 \times 35}{15}  =  ₹105000}

Hence, cost of 35 quintals is ₹ 105000

Here the cost of 15 quintals grains is given to be Rs. 45,000

We will first find out the cost of 1 quintal

cost of 15 quintal grains = 45,000

so, cost of 1 quintal grains = 45,000/15

= 3000

Now, we will fins out the cost of 35 quintals

cost of 35 quintals grains = 35 × 3000

= 105,000

Hence, the cost of 35 quintals grain will be Rs. 105,000
