Answer :

Given :

  • The cost of 5\dfrac{2}{5} litre of milk is ₹ 101\dfrac{1}{4}

Find :

  • The cost of milk per litre.

Solution :

We have,

  • The cost of 5\dfrac{2}{5} litre of milk = 101\dfrac{1}{4}

Here,

  • 5\dfrac{2}{5} = \dfrac{27}{5}
  • 101\dfrac{1}{4} = \dfrac{405}{4}

So, similarly

The cost of 1 litre of milk is ,

= 101\dfrac{1}{4} ÷ 5\dfrac{2}{5}

= \dfrac{407}{4} ÷ \dfrac{27}{5}

= \dfrac{\cancel{407}}{4} × \dfrac{5}{\cancel{27}}

= \dfrac{15×5}{4}

= \dfrac{75}{4}

•°• The cost of 1 litre if milk is 75/4.
