Hey mate!

Here's your answer!!
----------------------------
Let the cost of 1 table be x and the cost of 1 chair be y.

Cost of 5 tables = 5x
Cost of 8 chairs = 8y

8y + 150 = 5x

1 chair costs rs 240

(8 × 240) + 150 = 5x

1920 + 150 = 5x

5x = 2070

x = 2070/5

x = 414.

Answer:

Let the cost of 1 table  =Rs x

Let the cost of 1 chair = Rs y

cost of 5 tables = Rs 5x

cost of 8 chairs = Rs 8y

According to question,

5 x− 8y = 150

Put y  = 240, we get

5x − 8 × 240  = 150

⇒5x= 150 + 1920 = 2070

x= 414

So, cost of 1 table  = Rs 414
